Manager Robin Ventura said Rollins was supposed to start Wednesday, but he went with Tyler Saladino instead, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Rollins has served as the team's starting shortstop in 33 of the White Sox's 54 games, but he has begun to see his hold slip of late. Saladnio started four of the team's last five games and Rollins just concluded a month in which he posted a sub-.600 OPS. Of course, the battle between Rollins and Saladino may be moot if Tim Anderson gets the call.
