Zeke Spruill: Released by Texas

Spruill was released from the Rangers' minor-league camp, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.

Spruill was signed to a minor-league deal in December and never got into a spring training game. He last pitched in professional baseball in 2015, when he was with the Red Sox's organization.
