    • Leyba was outrighted to Triple-A Reno by the Diamondbacks on Friday. The 25-year-old missed the entirety of the 2020 campaign while serving an 80-game suspension after testing positive for PEDs, and he's now been removed from Arizona's 40-man roster. Leyba made his major-league debut in 2019 and went 7-for-25 with two doubles, a triple, six runs and five RBI.

    • Leyba completed his suspension and was added to the active roster Monday, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic reports. Leyba was issued an 80-game suspension in March after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance, but he'll be eligible to return for the start of the 2021 season after missing the entirety of the 60-game 2020 campaign. The 25-year-old should compete for a utility role during spring training after making a nice first impression over a limited sample in the majors in 2019.

    • Leyba received an 80-game suspension after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports. Leyba was called up for his major-league debut in September and made a quality first impression with a .280/.367/.440 slash line in 21 games, and he had a chance to begin the season in a utility role for the Diamondbacks. The 24-year-old will instead miss the first half of the season.

    • Leyba went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 4-2 win over San Diego. Leyba started at second base, his second start since being called up for September. With Ketel Marte (back) shut down for the remainder of the season, the switch-hitting infielder could have an opportunity when the Diamondbacks want to give Wilmer Flores a break.

    • Leyba was recalled from Triple-A Reno prior to Friday's game against the Reds. He is not in the starting lineup. He's not particularly toolsy, but Leyba is still somewhat interesting in deeper dynasty leagues. He hit .300/.351/.519 with 19 home runs while striking out just 15.7 percent of the time in 498 plate appearances at Triple-A. Leyba, who turns 24 on Sept. 11, is capable of playing all over the infield and should work in a utility role over the rest of the season.
