Richardson (shoulder) will not play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Hornets.
Richardson is in the final stages of his recovery from a right shoulder injury he suffered back in February, which he underwent surgery for in early March. The Heat are taking the cautious approach, and Richardson may not see the floor until the regular-season opener against the Magic on Oct. 23. Across 43 games (six starts) in the 2023-24 regular season, Richardson averaged 9.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists across 25.7 minutes per game.
