McGee tallied 16 points (7-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds and three blocks across 22 minutes Monday in the Suns' 127-124 win over the Bulls.
McGee's three-pointer was just his second of the season, bringing some unexpected value to an already strong stat line. Though Deandre Ayton has returned from a recent seven-game absence due to an ankle injury, McGee looks secure as his top backup, despite Bismack Biyombo having delivered a string of solid outings to close January. Biyombo played just one minute Monday and hasn't seen more than 10 minutes in any of the four games since Ayton returned.
