Suns' Koby Brea: Sits out Friday

Brea (thumb) didn't play in Friday's preseason win over the Nets.

It was reported earlier in the week that Brea was expected to make his preseason debut this weekend, so it looks like the Suns have an eye toward Sunday's meeting with Brooklyn for the rookie second-rounder. Brea is recovering from a thumb sprain, and he could find it difficult to crack Phoenix's Opening Night rotation due to the lack of exhibition reps.
