Cardinals' Lachavious Simmons: Reverts to IR

Simmons (undisclosed) reverted to injured reserve upon clearing waivers Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Simmons was waived by the Cardinals with an injury designation Monday and subsequently cleared waivers before reverting to injured reserve. Unless he reaches an injury settlement with Arizona, he'll miss the entire 2023 season. The nature of Simmons' injury hasn't been disclosed.
