The Cowboys and Frederick reached an agreement on a six-year, $56.4 million extension Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Coming in the first half of the Cowboys' exhibition opener, the announcement makes Frederick the highest-paid center in the NFL. A first-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, he's earned Pro Bowl nods the past two seasons. With Frederick and tackle Tyron Smith locked up to long-term deals, the Cowboys will look to re-up Pro Bowl guard Zack Martin next offseason.
