Nikita Whitlock: Waived by Giants Monday

Whitlock (foot) was waived/injured by the Giants on Monday with a mid-foot sprain, NJ.com reports.

Whitlock injured his foot in the Giants preseason clash with the Jets on Saturday. He needed to be carted off the field and was seen on crutches afterwords. However, it's unclear whether he'll require surgery at this point in time.
