Panthers' Omar Bayless: Undergoes knee procedure

Bayless underwent knee surgery Tuesday, Alaina Getzenberg of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Bayless has no structural damage to his knee, and his procedure reportedly only took roughly 15 minutes. With an expected recovery timetable of about two weeks, Bayless has a fair shot at being ready for Week 1. However, his chances of garnering more than a depth role in Carolina's receiver corps look slim.
