• 49ers' Brock Purdy: Another efficient effort in win

  Rotowire Oct 19, 2026

Purdy completed 21 of 29 passes for 264 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions while adding five rushes for 28 yards in the 49ers' 23-17 win over the Commanders on Monday night. Purdy took multiple sacks for the second straight game after not being taken down over the first four contests, but the veteran signal-caller otherwise had a mostly clean night that included a robust average of 9.1 yards per attempt. Purdy's passing yardage total was also his third highest of the campaign, and he kept his season-long touchdown-pass streak alive when he connected with George Kittle on an 11-yard scoring strike to cap off the opening drive of the night. Purdy completed passes to seven different targets overall, and he now boasts a 14:2 TD:INT heading into a Week 7 road matchup against the Falcons on Sunday.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: Tosses two TDs to improve to 5-0

  Rotowire Oct 11, 2026

Purdy completed 19 of 29 passes for 189 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 32-29 win over the Seahawks. He also rushed five times for six yards and threw a successful two-point conversion. Seattle's talented defense made life tougher for Purdy than it had been up to this point, as he committed his first turnover since Week 1 and took his first three sacks of the season. Purdy nonetheless did enough to keep the 49ers undefeated. He threw a two-yard touchdown pass to Mike Evans in the first quarter and a seven-yard touchdown pass to Brandin Cooks in the fourth, the latter of which Purdy followed up with a two-point conversion to Evans. The Seahawks responded with a field goal to tie the game at 29-29, but Purdy led the 49ers into position for Eddy Pineiro's go-ahead 44-yard field goal with 1:56 remaining. San Francisco's defense delivered the game-winning stop as Purdy and the 49ers improved to 5-0 heading into a Week 6 MNF home game against the Commanders.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: Pair of TDs in Week 4 win

  Rotowire Oct 4, 2026

Purdy completed 19 of 30 passes for 218 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions while adding 10 carries for 29 yards in the 49ers' 24-14 win over the Broncos on Sunday. Purdy performed admirably against a tough Broncos defense, and his legs helped him to yet another a sack-free afternoon despite the challenge posted by Denver's aggressive unit. Purdy didn't fire his first touchdown pass of the day until the 4:15 mark of the third quarter, hitting Deebo Samuel from one yard out to snap a 3-3 tie. The veteran signal-caller then sealed San Francisco's victory with a 56-yard scoring strike to George Kittle just before the two-minute warning, and Purdy remained free of interceptions for the third straight game. Purdy has a league-leading 11 touchdown passes and has yet to be brought down through four games, but he'll have a stiff challenge on his hands in a Week 5 road matchup against the Seahawks next Sunday.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: Maximizes completions in Week 3 win

  Rotowire Sep 27, 2026

Purdy completed 15 of 27 passes for 297 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions and rushed twice for 34 yards in the 49ers' 36-30 win over the Cardinals on Sunday. Purdy's completion percentage was below his usual standards, but the fifth-year signal-caller more than made up for it with some effective downfield passing and his quartet of scoring tosses. Purdy's yardage total also got a boost from an 80-yard hook-and-lateral play in the first quarter between Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel that the latter took all the way to the house from San Francisco's 20-yard line, which also served as the quarterback's first touchdown pass of the day. Purdy would go on to connect with Evans (23 yards) and George Kittle (10, 20 yards) for his other three scoring tosses, and he now boasts a 9:1 TD:INT and 789 passing yards over his first three games heading into a tough Week 4 home showdown against the Broncos next Sunday.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: Another three total TDs in Week 2 win

  Rotowire Sep 20, 2026

Purdy completed 20 of 22 passes for 287 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 35-13 win over the Dolphins. He also rushed three times for 30 yards and a touchdown. Purdy was in complete command of the offense throughout Sunday's lopsided win, throwing only two incompletions while finishing as the team's leading rusher for the cherry on top. The 49ers have been one of the league's best teams in the early going, outscoring the Rams and Dolphins by a combined margin of 62-20 heading into a Week 3 home game against the Cardinals. Purdy has contributed six total touchdowns during this hot start, including third-quarter touchdown passes of 12 yards to George Kittle and six yards to Kyle Juszczyk against the Dolphins following Purdy's two-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: Three-TD effort to open season

  Rotowire Sep 11, 2026

Purdy completed 25 of 34 passes for 205 yards with three touchdowns and one interception while adding five rushes for 29 yards during the 49ers' 27-7 Week 1 win over the Rams in Melbourne, Australia. After an offseason in which the Rams' fearsome pass rush garnered plenty of headlines, Purdy navigated the season-opening matchup against his talented NFC West rival in nearly flawless fashion. The fifth-year signal-caller got off to a fast start with new No. 1 receiver Mike Evans, connecting with him on three occasions for 22 yards during a 15-play opening drive that culminated in a field goal. Purdy went on to hit Evans for a contested two-yard scoring strike early in the third quarter, and he sandwiched impressive touchdown tosses to Demarcus Robinson and Deebo Samuel of 39 and 15 yards, respectively, around that play. Purdy's early second-quarter interception on a pass intended for George Kittle did lead to the Rams' only touchdown, but as the final numbers indicate, the veteran quarterback did more than enough to atone. Purdy should have a strong chance of carrying over the season-opening momentum into Week 2, as a home date with what's expected to be a vulnerable Dolphins defense awaits on Sunday, Sept. 20.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: QBs to Sit

  Rotowire Sep 9, 2026

Purdy has only faced the Rams three times in his career, and he scored 14.7 Fantasy points or less in two of those outings. We'll see how things go for Purdy against the Rams in Australia, but I'm concerned to start him in one-quarterback leagues. The Rams loaded up on defense this offseason with the additions of Myles Garrett and Trent McDuffie, but Purdy gets a break with Aaron Donald not playing. Still, it should be a rough outing for Purdy, even with George Kittle (Achilles) healthy and a revamped receiving corps featuring Mike Evans and De'Zhaun Stribling. I would only start Purdy in Superflex or two-quarterback leagues.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: Doesn't participate in preseason finale

  Rotowire Aug 28, 2026

Purdy sat out Thursday's exhibition win over the Raiders. San Francisco elected to rest its projected regular-season starters for the team's final exhibition game. Purdy saw very limited work during the preseason slate, getting into one game and completing four of six passes for 29 yards. He'll next take the field against the Rams in Week 1 of the regular season in Melbourne, Australia, on Friday, Sept. 11 (which will be Thursday, Sept. 10 in US time zones). Purdy will be working with a largely new wideout corps, including Mike Evans (groin), Deebo Samuel (returning after a one-year hiatus with Washington), rookie De'Zhaun Stribling (shoulder) and Christian Kirk (calf).

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: 'Good chance' to play in Thursday's contest

  Rotowire Aug 18, 2026

San Francisco coach Kyle Shanahan said Tuesday that Purdy has a "good chance" to play in Thursday's preseason matchup with the Chargers, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. Any appearance likely will be brief after Purdy took part in joint practices this week. He was held out of San Francisco's first preseason game and doesn't figure to play more than a drive or two during the exhibition slate.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: Not slated to play in preseason opener

  Rotowire Aug 13, 2026

Purdy isn't in line to play in Thursday's preseason opener against the Titans, Vic Tafur and Matt Barrows report. The report indicates that the 49ers won't play most of their starters Thursday, and with Purdy set to sit this one out, Mac Jones, Kurtis Rourke and Adrian Martinez are the team's available signal-caller option against Tennessee. With Jones already entrenched as Purdy's top backup, Rourke and Martinez could end up seeing the bulk of the QB reps Thursday.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: Building chemistry with rookie WR

  Rotowire Aug 10, 2026

Purdy and rookie wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling have been starting to connect more frequently at training camp, Marc Adams of 49ers Webzone reports. Purdy will be operating without Ricky Pearsall (knee) for the entirety of the 2026 campaign, and veterans Mike Evans (quadriceps) and Christian Kirk (calf) have been sidelined at practice recently. As a result, the fifth-year QB has gotten to log some added reps with rookie second-rounder De'Zhaun Stribling, most notably connecting on a 50-yard touchdown up the right sideline Monday. Purdy also connected with Deebo Samuel for an explosive play Monday, as the two players look to rebuild their previous chemistry from three seasons together from 2022 to 2024 before Samuel took a one-year detour to Washington in 2025 and then returned to the 49ers as a free agent July 30.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: Plans throwing sessions before camp

  Rotowire Jun 25, 2026

Purdy, who has been participating in this week's Tight End University, an event hosted by teammate George Kittle (Achilles), said that he plans to gather with other 49ers for throwing sessions over the next month prior to training camp, David Lombardi of the San Francisco Standard reports. As the coming campaign approaches, Purdy -- who has had time to move past the shoulder and toe issues he dealt with last season -- is set to work with a WR corps that welcomes a trio of key additions in Mike Evans, Christian Kirk and rookie second-rounder De'Zhaun Stribling. Also in the mix are returnees Ricky Pearsall, Jacob Cowing, Jordan Watkins and Demarcus Robinson. Meanwhile, Kittle is bouncing back from an Achilles injury, and though the star TE says that he has "a chance" to be ready for Week 1, the 49ers may need to lean more on their key wideouts out of the gate this year while Kittle works his way back into the mix. Purdy is coming off a 2025 regular season in which he threw for 2,167 yards with 20 TDs and 10 picks, while carrying 33 times for 147 yards and three scores in nine games. Looking ahead, the signal-caller's fantasy upside in 2026 hinges largely on avoiding injuries, as well as building strong on-field chemistry with his team's re-tooled pass-catching unit.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: QBs to Start

  Rotowire Dec 31, 2025

Purdy doesn't have an easy matchup in Week 18 against Seattle, but he's on fire now and should stay hot in this winner-take-all game for the No. 1 seed in the NFC. In his past three games against Tennessee, Indianapolis and Chicago, Purdy has combined for 893 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and two interceptions, along with 83 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and he scored at least 32.2 Fantasy points in each outing. He scored 20.8 Fantasy points at Seattle in Week 1, and the Seahawks have allowed seven quarterbacks to score at least 20.1 Fantasy points this season.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: Another five-TD performance

  Rotowire Dec 29, 2025

Purdy completed 24 of 33 pass attempts for 303 yards, three touchdowns and one interception while taking six carries for 28 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 42-38 win over Chicago. Purdy followed up his career game against the Colts on Monday Night Football in Week 16 (295 yards, five TD passes) by dropping another five-score bonanza on the Bears in a second consecutive primetime victory. The 25-year-old looked Mahomes-esque in the third quarter while dancing through multiple defenders behind the line of scrimmage before ultimately dumping the ball off to an open Kyle Juszczyk for the second of three touchdown strikes. Purdy's improved movement and gaudy passing numbers since the 49ers' Week 14 bye (297.7 passing yards/game with 15 total TDs in three starts) indicate that the signal-caller is finally fully healed from the turf toe injury that derailed the earlier portions of his 2025 campaign. With the 12-4 49ers needing just one win to secure the No. 1 seed in the NFC and a first-round bye, fantasy managers can expect to see Purdy's best against the Seahawks in Week 18.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: Career night on MNF

  Rotowire Dec 22, 2025

Purdy completed 25 of 34 pass attempts for 295 yards, five touchdowns and one interception while taking two carries for 11 yards in Monday's 48-27 rout of the Colts. Purdy took his game to new heights by throwing five touchdown passes in a game for the first time in his career. The 25-year-old attacked Indianapolis' reeling secondary from the onset, firing three scores to three different receivers on San Francisco's first three possessions Monday. Purdy has been on an absolute heater coming out of the 49ers' bye week, amassing 590 passing yards and eight touchdowns without ever being forced to punt in both starts. The Iowa State Cyclone did lose star TE George Kittle (7-115-1) to an ankle injury in the second half, so Purdy could be missing one of his top weapons against the Bears in Week 17.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: Start of the Week

  Rotowire Dec 10, 2025

It's been an up-and-down season so far for Brock Purdy to say the least. He missed eight games due to injury, which was tough in real life. And, as a Fantasy quarterback, he has just three games with at least 20 Fantasy points in five healthy outings. But things are about to change for Purdy heading into Week 15. He's about to light up Tennessee at home, and then he gets to face Indianapolis in Week 16 and Chicago in Week 17, which are favorable matchups. But let's start with the Titans, who are No. 8 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Six of the past seven quarterbacks against Tennessee have scored at least 21.7 Fantasy points, including Shedeur Sanders in Week 14 when he scored 39.5 points. I love the setup for Purdy in this game, and he's a top-five Fantasy quarterback for me in Week 15.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: Off his mark on MNF

  Rotowire Nov 24, 2025

Purdy completed 23 of 32 pass attempts for 193 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions while rushing six times for 16 yards in Monday's 20-9 win over the Panthers. Purdy had a first half he would like to forget after getting picked off by Carolina's secondary on three consecutive possessions. The trio of turnovers followed an impressive 15-play, 72-yard opening drive that culminated in a touchdown strike to WR Jauan Jennings. Head coach Kyle Shanahan gave his signal-caller a vote of confidence heading into halftime, telling ESPN's Lisa Salters that he felt Purdy played well outside of missing his mark on two of the three interceptions. The Iowa State product took better care of the ball in the second half, leading a couple of scoring drives to finish off the Panthers in the primetime victory. Monday's shoddy results coupled with a brutal upcoming matchup against Cleveland's defense Sunday should suppress Purdy's fantasy value Week 13.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: QBs to Start

  Rotowire Nov 20, 2025

Purdy looked great in his return from a six-game absence with a toe injury in Week 11 at Arizona with 25.3 Fantasy points on 19-of-26 passing for 200 yards and three touchdowns. He's now scored at least 20.8 Fantasy points in all three starts that he's made this season, and he should have another solid outing against the Panthers. Carolina is No. 11 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, but Drake Maye, Tua Tagovailoa, Dak Prescott and Josh Allen all scored at least 26.1 Fantasy points against the Panthers. Purdy should follow suit, and he has top-10 upside in all leagues.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: No restrictions Sunday

  Rotowire Nov 16, 2025

Purdy (toe) will be playing with no restrictions during Sunday's game against the Cardinals and will require no extra padding or a special shoe to protect his foot, Jay Glazer reported on "Fox NFL Sunday." Glazer added that Purdy experienced more than a typical setback after aggravating the toe injury in Week 4, though the quarterback was still able to avoid surgery. Purdy will be making his third start of the season Sunday, while Mac Jones returns to the backup role.

• 49ers' Brock Purdy: Practicing with intent to start Sunday

  Rotowire Nov 12, 2025

Coach Kyle Shanahan said Purdy (toe) will be a limited but "aggressive" participant at Wednesday's practice with the intention to start Sunday's game at Arizona, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports. On the heels of Purdy's eighth absence of the season this past Sunday against the Rams, Shanahan told David Lombardi of SFStandard.com on Monday that the 49ers "want three aggressive practices, and we want to hear from him and make sure he feels good after them, too." Wednesday's development indicates that Purdy isn't completely past the turf toe injury that has bothered him since Week 1, but he's at least putting himself in a position for his first game action since Week 4. Mac Jones has been filling for Purdy during his extended absence.
