MacDonald (undisclosed) participated in Colorado's informal skate Tuesday, Brennan Vogt of The-Rink.com reports.
MacDonald sat out the final three games of the 2023-24 regular season due to injury, but he will be available for the start of training camp. He signed a two-year contract with the Avalanche in July after producing seven goals, two assists, 49 shots on net and 40 hits in 34 regular-season appearances with the Sharks last campaign. The versatile MacDonald will compete for a depth spot in the Colorado lineup as a forward or a defenseman.
