Avalanche's Matt Calvert: May go on long-term IR

Calvert (upper body) could get placed on long-term injured reserve, Adrian Dater of Colorado Hockey Now reports.

The move would allow the Avalanche to take $2.85 million off the books, creating roster flexibility as they deal with injuries. In order to go on LTIR, Calvert must miss at least 10 games or 24 days, whichever comes first.
