Canadiens' Chris Wideman: Logs assist in loss

Wideman had an assist and one blocked shot over 8:00 of ice time in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Rangers.

Wideman picked up the secondary helper on Alex Belzile's first-period strike. It was just the fifth point in 34 games for the veteran, who has taken a secondary role on a blue line filled with young defensemen.
