Harvey-Pinard scored a goal on one shot and had four hits over 9:28 of ice time in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Lightning.
Harvey-Pinard, who was called up from AHL Laval amid a COVID-19 outbreak on Montreal's roster, potted his first NHL goal in his first NHL game. He became just the second Quebec-born player in the league's expansion era (since 1967-68) to score in his NHL debut with the Canadiens. Harvey-Pinard skated on the third line with Ryan Poehling and Cole Caufield. As of this time, Montreal is scheduled to play road games Thursday against the Hurricanes and Saturday against the Panthers. The 22-year-old forward should stick with the team for those two contests. Beyond that, the NHL postponed several home games, and the Habs will resume play Jan. 12 in Boston. By then, Harvey-Pinard could be back in the AHL.
