Canucks' Tom Willander: Sent to AHL

Willander was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Saturday.

Willander was a healthy scratch for both games after he was recalled Oct. 20. The 20-year-old was selected 11th overall in the 2023 Draft and has yet to appear in an NHL game. He will get plenty of ice time in Abbotsford and could be recalled later in the season. The Canucks recalled defenseman Victor Mancini in a corresponding move.
