Hurricanes' Josiah Slavin: Waived for purpose of reassignment

Slavin landed on waivers Tuesday for the purpose of being reassigned to AHL Chicago.

Slavin last appeared in the NHL with the Blackhawks during the 2021-22 campaign, registering one assist and four PIM over 15 games. He spent the 2024-25 regular season with AHL Chicago, recording 12 goals and 21 points across 66 outings. The 26-year-old will link back up with the Wolves for the 2025-26 season if he goes unclaimed on the waiver wire.
