Islanders' Robin Salo: Lands on waivers

Salo was placed on waivers by the Islanders on Friday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Salo had 14 assists in 38 contests with AHL Bridgeport last season. With New York, he contributed two goals and four points in 11 games. If he clears waivers, Salo will probably report to Bridgeport.
