Jets' Evgeny Svechnikov: Lights lamp Tuesday

Svechnikov scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Ducks.

After a scoreless first period, Svechnikov's tally at 2:07 of the second opened the scoring. The 24-year-old winger has points in three straight games (one goal, two assists), accounting for all of his offense in five outings. He's added four shots on net, six hits and a plus-1 rating, and he appears to be earning more trust from head coach Paul Maurice with each game.
