Kings' Matt Greene: Back skating but not close to a return

Greene (shoulder) has resumed skating recently but isn't close to returning to game action, LA Kings Insider reports. "They're doing me a favor right now of being out there. I think that's basically the equivalent of riding the stationary bike," Greene said. "I'm just trying to get into shape, and I'm a long ways off of playing."

The initial prognosis following Greene's injury had him sidelined for the rest of the season and that doesn't appear to have changed one bit unless he's able to make an unexpectedly speedy recovery and the Kings make a deep run in the playoffs.
