Mammoth's Tomas Lavoie: Hat trick, helper Thursday

Lavoie scored three goals and added an assist in QMJHL Cape Breton's 4-3 win over Moncton on Thursday.

Lavoie had an unexpected burst of offense to head into the holiday break on a high note. The defenseman is now at five goals and 21 points through 24 appearances this season. He's been better lately with nine of his points coming over seven contests in December.
