Red Wings' Tim Gettinger: On waivers Friday

Gettinger was placed on waivers by the Red Wings on Friday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Gettinger has played in 16 NHL games over four seasons, picking up one assist. He is on a two-way contract and will be sent to AHL Grand Rapids if he clears waivers.
