Ryan Mantha: Not offered contract

Mantha will be eligible to reenter the 2016 NHL Draft after the Rangers declined to offer him a contract, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.

Mantha, a fourth-round draft pick in 2014, played in the OHL with the Niagara IceDogs during the last two seasons. Over that span, the 19-year-old tallied 15 goals and 35 assists in 117 outings, not enough to impress the New York brass.
