Peterson provided a power-play assist in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Ducks.
Peterson had the secondary helper on Ryan Suter's first-period tally. In his last three games, Peterson has two goals and an assist. The 22-year-old will have to continue playing well to avoid the occasional healthy scratch -- Denis Gurianov, Marian Studenic, and Joel Kiviranta are also in the mix for two spots in the lineup. Peterson has 17 points, 74 shots on net and a plus-1 rating in 55 outings. His helper Thursday was his first career power-play point.
