Mangiapane played through a wrist injury in the playoffs, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports. Mangiapane was limited to six points and 27 shots in 12 playoff outings. The 26-year-old's dip in production was a large part of the Flames' struggles to keep pace with the Oilers in their five-game series loss in the second round. Mangiapane is set for restricted free agency this summer, and his 35-goal, 55-point regular season should command him a significant raise after he took a bridge deal in 2020.

Mangiapane scored a goal on three shots in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 5. Mangiapane converted on a centering pass from Blake Coleman midway through the first period. The goal was Mangiapane's first scoring contribution since Game 1 against the Oilers. The winger was inconsistent in the postseason, getting on the scoresheet in just three of the Flames' 12 games despite posting three goals and three helpers. He's set to be a restricted free agent this summer.

Mangiapane scored a goal on seven shots, dealt two assists and went plus-3 in Wednesday's 9-6 win over the Oilers in Game 1. Mangiapane gave the Flames a 2-0 lead just 51 seconds into the game, setting an NHL playoff record for the fastest two goals to start a contest. He added helpers on goals by Blake Coleman in the second period and Rasmus Andersson in the third. This was just the second game of eight in the playoffs that's seen Mangiapane on the scoresheet, but he has two goals, three assists, 19 shots and a plus-4 rating this postseason. He'll likely remain in a second-line role going forward.

Mangiapane scored a goal, dished an assist and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Stars in Game 5. Mangiapane entered Wednesday stuck in an eight-game point drought. He ended it by setting up Mikael Backlund on the game-tying goal, and then he scored a goal of his own to put the Flames ahead 2-1 minutes later. Mangiapane has added eight shots on net, four hits, a plus-1 rating and six PIM through five playoff contests, but fantasy manager can have some hope that Wednesday's outing ignites his offense.

Mangiapane scored an empty-net goal on four shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Stars. Mangiapane had the secondary helper on Chris Tanev's go-ahead goal in the third period before scoring a long-range empty-netter. It's been an April resurgence for Mangiapane, who has five goals and five helpers in his last nine outings. The 26-year-old winger is up to 35 goals, 55 points, 180 shots on net, 70 hits and a plus-23 rating through 78 outings.
