  • Mangiapane potted a goal in Thursday's 7-3 loss to the Stars in Game 6. Mangiapane's tally was the first of three in a row for the Flames before the Stars rattled off seven straight to take over the game. The 24-year-old struggled in six games against the Stars -- Mangiapane had just the one goal in the series after posting four points in as many games versus the Jets in the qualifying round. A restricted free agent, Mangiapane will be due for a raise ahead of the 2020-21 regular season after blossoming into a reliable middle-six winger this year.

  • Mangiapane had two assists with two shots and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 6-2 victory over Winnipeg in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Qualifiers. Mangiapane registered the primary helper on second-period goals by Mikael Backlund and Matthew Tkachuk, giving him four points (goal, three assists) through the first three games of the qualifying round. The 2015 sixth-round draft pick recorded 17 goals and 32 assists during 68 regular-season games and is off to a quick start in the postseason.

  • Mangiapane scored an empty-net goal and added a power-play assist in Saturday's win over the Jets in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Qualifiers. Mangiapane set up Mikael Backlund's goal to make it 3-1 late in the second period, and he added the insurance tally into the empty net in the third. The 24-year-old Mangiapane ended the 2019-20 regular season with assists in three straight games and picked up right where he left off Saturday. He tallied 32 points (17 goals, 15 helpers) and 109 shots in 68 regular-season games. With additional power-play time headed his way, Mangiapane could be a breakout star if the Flames make a deep playoff run.

  • Mangiapane produced 17 goals and 15 assists in 68 games prior to the suspension of play in mid-March. The 24-year-old has taken a noticeable leap forward this season, as his 32 points would fall just shy of 40 over 82 games. Mangiapane managed 13 points in 44 contests last year, so clearly he's faring better these days on a scoring line with Flames leading scorer Matthew Tkachuk and one of either Elias Lindholm or Mikael Backlund. It's worth noting that the Toronto native has averaged just 13:42 of ice time -- including 31 seconds on the power play -- this season, so it's reasonable to suggest his offensive production will further improve with a larger assignment in the future.

  • Mangiapane registered an assist and three shots on goal in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Golden Knights. Mangiapane has picked up helpers in each of the last three games. The 23-year-old winger is up to 32 points (17 tallies, 15 assists), 109 shots and 73 hits through 68 contests. He can be useful in DFS given his recent success and modest physicality.
