  • Peyton Jones: Released from PTO

    Minnesota released Jones from his professional tryout agreement Monday. Jones, who has a contract for the 2023-24 season with ECHL Iowa, is expected to attend training camp with Minnesota's AHL affiliate first. He split the 2022-23 season between Belfast and Nottingham of the United Kingdom's EIHL prior to coming back to North America.

  • Peyton Jones: Unqualified by Colorado

    Jones not did receive a qualifying offer from the Avalanche on Monday and is set to become a free agent, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports. The undrafted netminder got his first taste of professional hockey last season, recording an .886 save percentage in 18 ECHL contests and an .876 save percentage in three appearances with AHL Colorado. Jones spent four years with Pennsylvania State University and was called up to Colorado's taxi squad briefly during the 2020-21 season.
