FIFA: Investigations ongoing on Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini
A decision may be looming as the investigation into FIFA's suspicious $2 million payment to UEFA president Michel Platini continues.
FIFA has announced that the investigatory chamber of the independent ethics committee has confirmed that investigation proceedings are ongoing against FIFA president Sepp Blatter and UEFA president Michel Platini surrounding the $2 million payment from FIFA to Platini in 2011.
A statement from FIFA says the investigator chamber will do everything it can to "ensure that a decision can be taken by the adjudicatory chamber of the ethics committee."
Blatter and Platini are currently provisionally suspended for 90 days.

FIFA's ethics committee met in early October after criminal proceedings were filed by the office of the attorney general of Switzerland against Blatter in late September regarding the payment.
The OAG suspects Blatter made a "disloyal payment" to Platini, at the expense of FIFA, which was allegedly for work performed between January 1999 and June 2002, with the payment being made in 2011. Blatter appealed his suspension.
Investigation proceedings are also ongoing against various others, including former CONCACAF boss Jeffrey Webb. German legend Franz Beckenbauer has seen his proceedings passed on to the adjudicatory chamber after news of a potential bribe that saw Germany win the rights to host the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
