Full Mayweather-Pacquiao coverage

If Floyd Mayweather Jr. intends to up his aggression against Manny Pacquiao, it appears he's getting an early start by going right after his sparring partners. Mayweather's uncle, Jeff Mayweather, speaking to Mlive.com, said that Mayweather Jr. didn't just beat Zab Judah in some practice rounds, he "beat the [bleep] out of him."

Apparently, the two fighters sparred for three five-minute rounds last week. By the second round, "Judah didn't have nothing left," according to Jeff Mayweather. Mayweather Jr. and Judah had previously fought each other in 2006 in a fight that Mayweather Jr. won.

"It seemed like Floyd had something personal against him," Jeff Mayweather told Mlive.com. "He beat the [bleep] out of him. So then he quit, he let Judah off the hook, because Judah's got a fight coming up and he messed his eye up."

Mayweather Jr. is currently using a wide-variety of left-handed sparring partners to prepare for Pacquiao. Last week was the first time Mayweather Jr. squared off against Judah, a more experienced fighter than most of Mayweather Jr.'s sparring partners.

"Everybody was just hyped because they thought Judah was going to be something different," Jeff Mayweather said. "But Judah was worse than the other guys."

Jeff Mayweather went on to say that Mayweather Jr. is "on a different level right now," channeling all his energy toward the fight with Pacquiao the promises to be as big a spectacle as the boxing world has ever seen.

On May 2, we'll find out whether Mayweather Jr. truly intends to up his aggression against Pacquiao, and whether the beating he's apparently putting on sparring partners actually means anything. No disrespect, but Zab Judah is not Manny Pacquiao.
