Two years ago, when The Undertaker's 21-match undefeated WrestleMania streak came to an end at the hands of Brock Lesnar, fans in attendance at WrestleMania 30 and watching around the world shared the same reaction: pure, unadulterated shock.
But it was WWE fan Ellis Mbeh whose eyes-bugging-out, face gnarled expression was perfectly caught by the company's cameras. Mbeh immediately became a meme on social media as his reaction perfectly summed up the complete and utter surprise of Lesnar ending "The Streak," something many thought would continue for the duration of Taker's career.
Well, let's just say Mbeh's celebrity was honored on Saturday when it appears he met The Undertaker at WWE Axxess -- an event where fans can get autographs and take pictures with WWE superstars while also participating in fun activities -- and got a once-in-a-lifetime picture with "The Dead Man."
Yup, that's The Undertaker mimicking Mbeh's glare from two years ago while Mbeh does Taker's signature gesture after defeating an opponent. (By the way, it looks like Taker has quite a shiner around his left eye.)
Good job by all. And Mbeh now has his own WrestleMania Moment.
The Undertaker will take on Shane McMahon on Sunday at WrestleMania 32 in a Hell in a Cell match. Should Taker win, he will improve on his 22-1 WrestleMania record and earn the ability to continue fighting at the big show; but if Shane wins, he gains control of Monday Night Raw.
CBS Sports will offer live coverage of WWE WrestleMania 32 on Sunday from 6-11 p.m. ET. Be sure to tune in for results, highlights and more. You can watch WrestleMania 32 live on either pay-per-view or the WWE Network, which is free for first-time subscribers.
