Mikko Ilonen makes ace No. 1,000 in European Tour history, nearly repeats feat
The Finnish golfer apparently loves playing this hole
Mikko Ilonen made the 1,000th hole in one in European Tour history on Friday at the KLM Open at the 14th hole at The Dutch. There is no video of the feat, unfortunately, but Ilonen did pose for photos after his round. The ace helped him to a 2-under 69 in Round 1.

Well played @MikkoIlonen! pic.twitter.com/3oShEpKP0y
Weather delayed the end of the first round at the KLM Open, which mean Ilonen played the 14th hole later on in the day. And get this, he almost aced it again.

Ilonen is 7 strokes back of the leader Joel Stalter at the end of 36 holes.
To honor the 1,000th ace, the European Tour also put together an awesome look at the 10 best aces in European Tour history. It includes spectacular shots from Jose Maria Olazabal, Rory McIlroy and, of course, Miguel Angel Jimenez.
