Ryder Cup 2016: Full teams, captains, times, schedule, dates, how to watch live
Everything you need to know about what is going to happen during the week of the 2016 Ryder Cup
It's Ryder Cup week. Finally. It has been two long years since we've seen the best team event in the sport and another four since we've seen it on United States soil.
At long last 24 of the best golfers on the planet take sides and tee it up against one another. That's 12 for the U.S. and 12 for Europe going after a trophy that has only been held by the Americans one time this century.
Let's take a look at everything that will happen this week, starting with the rosters.
Team rosters
United States
- Jordan Spieth
- Dustin Johnson
- Brooks Koepka
- Phil Mickelson
- Jimmy Walker
- Brandt Snedeker
- Zach Johnson
- Patrick Reed
- Rickie Fowler
- Matt Kuchar
- J.B. Holmes
- Ryan Moore
Europe
- Rory McIlroy
- Justin Rose
- Henrik Stenson
- Sergio Garcia
- Lee Westwood
- Martin Kaymer
- Matthew Fitzpatrick
- Chris Wood
- Andy Sullivan
- Rafael Cabrera-Bello
- Danny Willett
- Thomas Pieters
It would seem like the U.S. has the advantage here when it comes strictly to the 12 golfers who will play the event. Europe has six players who have never taken a single stroke in the Ryder Cup. And yet, if you're rooting for the Americans, there is plenty to be concerned about.
