WATCH: Justin Thomas drills the rocks, nearly makes absurd ace at Honda Classic
This shot from the Honda Classic leader was incredible (and incredibly lucky)
Justin Thomas nearly aced the par-3 5th hole on Sunday at the Honda Classic. That would lead you to believe that he hit a gorgeous, sweeping draw or high, mildly cutting fade to a foot, right?
Yeah, that would be wrong. Instead, Thomas hit one short into the 178-yard par 3 that hit the rock bank protecting the flag, shot it up in the air and nearly went in the hole. The best part? Thomas didn't even react to the break.
Justin Thomas is seeking his 7th PGA Tour win in his last 31 starts.

He made a two-putt par, which kept him at 7 under and in the lead at this event. Thomas has hit some outrageously good shots so far this tournament, but this was not one of them. Getting breaks like this, though, is one big part of raising trophies. Thomas got one. Now we'll see if he can capitalize.
ARE YOU KIDDING?! 🎢
