Friday night at the Great American Ball Park, the Cincinnati Reds opened a series with the visiting San Francisco Giants. Both clubs are off to tough starts to 2017. The Reds are rebuilding, and a slow start isn't surprising.

The Giants though? They were very much expected to be in the race. Instead, they're in last place in the NL West.

In the second inning of Friday's game, young Giants infielder Christian Arroyo socked the third home run of his career. Who gave it up? Reds veteran Bronson Arroyo. Arroyo on Arroyo baseball crime.

Here's the video:

The weirdest part? Christian and Bronson are not related, but they did both attend the same high school: Hernando High School in Brooksville, Florida. Eerie!

There are only a handful of high schools in the country that can say they've produced two active big leaguers. There are even fewer that can say they've produced two active big leaguers with the same last night who aren't related!

Small world, huh?
