Blue Jays' Troy Tulowitzki hit on hand; X-rays come back negative
The All-Star shortstop's X-ray's results came back negative after being hit in the knuckles.
Blue Jays shortstop Troy Tulowitzki has the kind of extensive, well-known injury history that forces us to pause whenever he goes down or exits a game prematurely. Unfortunately, Tulowitzki's departure from Wednesday's spring training game against the Mets came with an obvious explanation: he'd just been hit in the hand by a Bartolo Colon pitch.
There's no reason to believe the injury is serious at this time, but Tulowitzki did undergo precautionary X-rays, according to John Lott of VICE Sports. Meanwhile, Jon Heyman of MLB Network noted that Tulowitzki's "knuckle area was blue." The Jays and their fans will be as well, should Tulowitzki miss time or have his play suffer due to a hand or finger issue.

Tulowitzki entered the day with a .947 OPS and three home runs this spring. If Tulowitzki does have to go on the disabled list, Ryan Goins would presumably slot in at shortstop, with Darwin Barney taking over at the keystone.
