Braves injured third baseman Chris Johnson, who is on the disabled list with a left hand fracture, was not placed in a cast, per MLB.com. He is wearing a splint.
"It's just something old," Johnson said. "I don't know when it happened. I'm just a tough dude."
The medical staff will re-evaluate Johnson in two weeks.
"I'm down for a couple weeks and then I'm going to be reevaluated," Johnson said.
Johnson was in a slump before sustaining he injury Thursday. He had seven hits in 34 at-bats after a 5-for-9 run to open the year.
