Caleb Clay clears outright waivers

Angels pitcher Caleb Clay has cleared outright waivers, the team announced.

Clay was optioned off the 25-man roster Tuesday, but this transaction removes him from the 40-man roster as well. He owns a 3.78 ERA and 34:10 K:BB ratio in 52 1/3 innings with Triple-A Salt Lake.
