Mets pitcher Dillon Gee took a loss Tuesday, giving up four earned runs on eight hits and two walks in 5 2/3 innings while striking out four in his team's 6-2 defeat against the A's.

Gee (4-6) won his first start back from the disabled list in early July, but he's gone 0-5 since. The A's racked up all four runs in the fourth inning Tuesday, with three coming on a bases-loaded triple. Gee owns a 3.84 ERA and 70:33 K:BB ratio in 100 2/3 innings. He's scheduled to face the Braves next Tuesday.
