Juan Pierre, a key member of Miami's 2003 World Series championship, has officially announced his retirement from professional baseball on Friday, per the Miami Herald.
Pierre did not play in 2014 after registering a career low .247 batting average in 2013. The 37-year-old swiped 614 bags and slashed .295/.343/.361 line in 14 seasons between the Rockies, Marlins, Cubs, Dodgers, White Sox, and the Phillies.
