Taking the ball for the final time in the regular season, Red Sox starter Jake Peavy started Wednesday's game at Colorado.

Peavy wasn't particularly sharp, but a big offensive outburst provided him with more than enough support in a 15-5 win. Peavy allowed five runs in six innings of work, with eight hits and four walks allowed. He struck out five batters, while throwing 75 of 110 pitches for strikes.

Peavy is certain to be a part of the Red Sox rotation in the postseason, but this is the end of his regular season. He finishes with a 12-5 record and 4.17 ERA in 144 2/3 innings over 23 starts.
