White Sox pitcher John Danks gave up as many earned runs in his start against the Reds on Tuesday as he had in his previous three Cactus League outings combined. Danks allowed 10 runs on 11 hits with two walks over 3 1/3 innings. The left-hander was tagged with three in the first before Cincinnati pushed across two more runs the following frame. Then in the fourth, Danks surrendered a pair of homers and was charged with five runs total.
Danks, who underwent offseason shoulder surgery, saw his spring ERA rise from 11.74 to 16.36 on the outing.
