Jon Jay in lineup for Game 2 of World Series

Cardinals outfielder Jon Jay is batting eighth and starting in center field in Game 2 of the World Series against the Red Sox Thursday.

Jay didn't start Game 1 against lefty Jon Lester but wound up going 0 for 2 after replacing an injured Carlos Beltran in the third inning. Jay will face righty John Lackey in Game 2, and he was a much better hitters against righties in 2013, posting a .291/.363/.386 line in 430 at-bats.
