Phillies starting pitcher Jonathan Pettibone allowed three runs on seven hits and four walks in five innings during a no-decision Sunday at Detroit. He struck out one.
Pettibone opened with four scoreless innings and built a 3-0 lead before the Tigers tied the game in the fifth inning. Matt Tuiasosopo had an RBI single, while Prince Fielder and Victor Martinez added RBI groundouts. Pettibone remains winless in his last three starts (0-1) and he hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in seven straight starts.
The rookie right-hander is expected to be back on the hill Saturday against the Braves. Pettibone is 1-0 with a 1.69 ERA against Atlanta this season.
