Josh Outman returns to the majors

The Rockies recalled Josh Outman from Triple-A Colorado Springs Tuesday, to replace injured reliever Edgmer Escalona on the active roster. Escalona was placed on the 15-day disabled list to make room.

Outman was sent to Triple-A Saturday, after posting a 4.94 ERA in 19 appearances for the Rockies.
