Behold, one of the greatest managers in baseball history, while still a young buck in his playing days:

That would be Mr. Casey Stengel in 1915, when he was a 24-year-old outfielder for the Brooklyn Dodgers. And though many may not know it, Stengel was a good player in his day -- well, at least according to the stats, it's not like I was alive from 1912-1925 -- hitting .284/.356/.410 and once leading the league in on-base percentage.

Still, any of those player accomplishments pale in comparison to what "The Old Perfessor" did as a skipper. He managed 25 years in all -- piling up 1,905 wins -- but in 12 years with the Yankees, Stengel went 1,149-696 with 10 pennants and seven World Series titles.
