The Hiroshima Carp of Japan's Central League have picked up their 2014 option on first-baseman Kila Ka'aihue, MLBDailyDish.com reports.

A player with a career .391 OBP in more than 5,000 minor-league at-bats, Ka'aihue hit .259/.362/.478 with 14 home runs and 45 RBI in 224 at-bats with Hiroshima last season. He has hit .221/.305/.382 in 411 career major-league at-bats.
