Luis Jimenez recalled from Triple-A

The Angels have recalled third baseman <player idref= from Triple-A Salt Lake, the team announced Friday.

Jimenez hit .367/.424/.567 with one home runs, four RBI, five runs and one stolen bases in 33 Triple-A plate appearances to start the season. He earned some playing time at first base during the spring to improve his versatility. Jimenez was immediately inserted into the batting lineup Friday, hitting seventh, in what will be his major-league debut.
