Rays designated hitter Luke Scott could not get back in the lineup Saturday against Toronto and is headed for the disabled list, the Tampa Bay Times reports. Scott is dealing with back spasms and will rest them on the shelf.

Scott has been bothered by the injury for about a week and his DL stint is retroactive to his last game played on Wednesday. Scott is batting .249 with nine homers and 39 RBI over 237 at-bats this season. He did not have an RBI over his previous 10 games.
