Mariners put OF Dustin Ackley on DL, recall RP Cotham

The Yankees placed newly acquired utility man Dustin Ackley on the 15-day disabled list with a right lumbar strain, per the team, and recalled reliever Caleb Cotham from Triple-A to take his place on the roster. 

Ackley has played in two games with the Yankees since being traded from Seattle on July 30, and was hitless in three at-bats. 

Cotham has appeared in one game with the Yankees this season and is 5-2 in 28 games between Double-A and Triple-A this season.
