The Marlins are gauging interest in outfielder Juan Pierre and third baseman Placido Polanco, according to ESPN.
Pierre has a career-low .242 batting average with one home run, eight RBI and 19 stolen bases in 269 at-bats. Polanco only started in seven games in July and is hitting .259/.315/.301 with one home run and 18 RBI in 282 at-bats.
