MRI reveals no tear on hip of Angels pitcher Jered Weaver

Angels pitcher Jered Weaver received good news Monday when an MRI revealed no significant damage to his hip, reports the Orange County Register.

"Right now, there's no doubt about trying to exhale a little bit and get him back to where he needs to be," manager Mike Scioscia said, per the Los Angeles Times.

Weaver is on the disabled list with a left hip injury. He will not throw a baseball for the next five days.
